SITUATION
Allied Properties REIT decided it was time to replace their content management system as their existing solution had suffered from poor adoption and scalability and usability challenges. Despite efforts to improve the system, it was no longer meeting the needs of the business. Having partnered with CrucialLogics in previous engagements, the Allied team were confident in the team’s ability to collaborate and efficiently implement a SharePoint solution.

SOLUTION
CrucialLogics assessed the existing environment prior to building and configuring SharePoint and OneDrive. Focusing on content management and collaboration while implementing best practices for security and data protection, the teams migrated over 1.5TB of data, preserved metadata, and set up Power Automate workflows. The limited integrations available with the existing software complicated data migration, but CrucialLogics maintained constant communication and addressed delays. They designated project champions and then tailored training, webinars, and change management activities, including Q&A sessions and regular updates via Teams to ensure a smooth transition to SharePoint and OneDrive.

RESULTS
The CrucialLogics team, with their deep understanding of the SharePoint platform and ability to provide clear explanations, was a tremendous business partner. As a result, the project achieved positive outcomes and widespread adoption. Some teams proactively utilized the platform’s many features, benefiting from CrucialLogics’ training and expertise. Maintaining open communication channels and close collaboration was essential for overcoming the challenges inherent in this type of project.
