Changes to your Azure Information Protection configuration

Microsoft is making some changes to Azure Information Protection (AIP) and Office Message Encryption (OME) configurations. Starting August 1st, 2018, they will roll out the protection features in AIP and OME to tenants with the eligible Office 365 licenses.

New feature: Message translation in Teams

Inline message translation is a new Microsoft Teams feature. This feature allows your users who receive a message (from another Teams user) in a different language from their own, to click the translate button to see that message translated to their client's language. Microsoft will be gradually rolling this out to all customers in mid-July, and the roll out will be completed worldwide by the end of July.

Microsoft to replace Site Content and Structure in SharePoint Online

In September 2018, Site Content and Structure in SharePoint Online is being replaced with native File Move and Copy capabilities.

Update for Machine Translation Services from SharePoint Online

Microsoft will be removing the user interface entry point for Machine Translation Services from SharePoint Online, beginning September 2018.

Reminder: Office 365 System Requirements for Client Connectivity

As previously announced in April 2017, Microsoft is updating the system requirements for Office 365 services beginning October 2020.

The latest feature updates for Office 2016 for Office 365 are now available. One of the benefits of Office 365 ProPlus is that Microsoft can provide new features for Office apps on a regular basis, through monthly updates.

Microsoft is Consolidating Yammer Networks

Starting October 16, 2018, Yammer will no longer support multiple Yammer networks associated with one Office 365 tenant. Microsoft will be consolidating your Yammer networks into a parent Yammer network. During this process, content will no longer be available from the subsidiary networks. We recommend you migrate your own networks prior to October 16.
